Shri Ram met Shiv out of His love and concern for Shiv as He was pleased with the sacrifice by Shiv and was aware of somber mood of Shiv due to separation from Sati and also Sati’s prayer unto Him to make for her return to Shiv in her next birth as Uma. Showering His grace Ram made a request to Shiv to accept alliance with Uma. This we learned in past post (per the verses above) and would further relish our Ram Katha thanks to Goswami Tulsidas who has given it to us in such interesting way which enriches our soul, calms the mind and enlightens the path to cross this ocean of sorrows and breaks the cycle of rebirth.

Shiv responded to request of Ram by saying that though he considered it not right to get married again but he added that the word of master i e of Ram can not be ignored hence would do whatever is ordered by Ram with due respect and attention. Shiv adds that the word of Ram is good enough as sacred duty for him. There after Shiv utters very important lines in nature of commandments that the instructions and advice of the Mother , the Father, the Master/Lord and of the Guru should be carried out without giving a second thought (only these people have an unbiased and total interest of off-springs, servants and disciples at heart while proposing any thing. Such people are aware of the need, liking and capabilities of those who they advise and have no interest of their own to serve rather would even forgo such interest, if any there. This makes the advice of theirs much more valuable and rather so sacrosanct as to be followed in all cases and at all times as a result of which no adverse oucomes would have to be faced).

Shiv said to Lord Ram that He happens to be an ultimate well-wisher and hence His command is the paramount duty for him (i e Shiv). Listening to Shiv Shankar’s speech and observing the construction of the same on lines of devotion, wisdom and the sacrosanct duty, Lord Ram became pleased and satisfied and reminded Shiv that his pledge and vow have been redeemed and what is required of him is to bear in mind what Ram asked of him.

With these words Ram, the God supreme, went out of sight and Shiv kept this image of Ram as a lasting impression in his heart. At this very moment the seven sages (Sapt Rishis) arrived on scene, to whom Shiv expressed desire that they go to lord of mountains and pressure him to call Parvati back after dispelling doubt which he might have but before it to examine how stead fast is Parvati in her resolve and how much she loves him to get back to him as his partner for life.

( Since Shiv’s had been a bit of not so good an experience with Sati earlier because of her back ground of being born in a family that gave more importance to worldly success and fame etc due to paying attention to what appeared rather then to what was behind, hence he wanted to be surer this time though knew that Sati as Uma ought to be different being born in family with more serious and spiritually stable orientation. Shiv knows that after Ram’s command he would have to marry her but at the same time wishes to not be under a kind of doubt this way or that which would keep his heart calmer while still carrying out duty given to him. This would make him better prepared to serve the cause that was give to him to serve. The message for us is to follow the command of superiors without any reservation but it doesn’t mean that it be carried out with eyes folded and without due preparation.)

You may enjoy reading of the original lines reproduced below that have been discussed above:
