नारद कर मैं काह बिगारा। भवनु मोर जिन्ह बसत उजारा।।
अस उपदेसु उमहि जिन्ह दीन्हा। बौरे बरहि लगि तपु कीन्हा।।
साचेहुँ उन्ह के मोह न माया। उदासीन धनु धामु न जाया।।
पर घर घालक लाज न भीरा। बाझँ कि जान प्रसव कैं पीरा।।
जननिहि बिकल बिलोकि भवानी। बोली जुत बिबेक मृदु बानी।।
अस बिचारि सोचहि मति माता। सो न टरइ जो रचइ बिधाता।।
करम लिखा जौ बाउर नाहू। तौ कत दोसु लगाइअ काहू।।
तुम्ह सन मिटहिं कि बिधि के अंका। मातु ब्यर्थ जनि लेहु कलंका।।
छं0-जनि लेहु मातु कलंकु करुना परिहरहु अवसर नहीं।
दुखु सुखु जो लिखा लिलार हमरें जाब जहँ पाउब तहीं।।
सुनि उमा बचन बिनीत कोमल सकल अबला सोचहीं।।
बहु भाँति बिधिहि लगाइ दूषन नयन बारि बिमोचहीं।।
दो0-तेहि अवसर नारद सहित अरु रिषि सप्त समेत।
समाचार सुनि तुहिनगिरि गवने तुरत निकेत।।97।।

The last post was about above lines (up to Doha 97 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Goswami Tulsidas), Sapt Rishis and Narad Muni have been taken to home by Himvan after getting to know about the distress of his wife Maina.

Narad Muni tells every body present there, explaining the whole story of Sati burning herself in Yogic fire and getting reborn as Parvati. Narad now addresses Maina directly saying, “Maina, the let me explain the fact and the reality that your daughter Bhavani who is going to be married to Bhav (Shiv) is Jagdamba, the mother of universe (naturally because she is going to be married to Shiv, the never born lord of gods hence father like for all who have come in to existence later). She is also Aja (never born, if not seen as just a body but as Shakti i e power of Shiv. We saw Shiv going in to deep Samadhi after Sati had not been there, meaning that when Sati was not with Shiv he became static, not doing anything or caring for the world,Shiv is in action, in whatever measure, only when accompanied by Bhavani i e his power). She is Anadi Shakti (eternal power) and Avinashini (imperishable). She is considered to be inseparable half of Shiv. She is capable of creation, maintenance and dissolution of the universe as also of taking form out of her own will (we know Sati wanted to destroy her body once and get reborn to be with Shiv and did). Earlier when she was born as Sati in the family Daksha then also she was married to Shiv only, all are aware of this part of her life.”.

Narad goes on to explain how once while coming along with Shiv, Sati met the one who is like sun for the lotus like family of Raghus i e Ram (Kamal is word used for lotus and means not soiled i e blemish free, the sun when shines makes lotus bloom). At that point Sati did not take words of Shiv as true and thought Ram to be some ordinary prince in a king’s family who may have weaknesses as humans are prone to, Narad told. In her enthusiasm Sati had disguised herself as Sita i e consort of Sri Ram to find out who Ram really was, Narad explained.

Narad then detailed how because of Sati’s taking guise of Sita, whom Shiv considered as his mother, being consort of his beloved lord Ram, Shiv decided to separate from Sati and how finding herself lonely existence unbearable Sati burned her body in Yogic fire at the venue of sacrifice undertaken by Daksha, her father. Narad Muni tells also that after having been born in Maina’s family, she has already undertaken a fierce Tapa for the sake of getting back to Shiv, and then advised Maina to give up doubts considering her own daughter as one to be ever beloved by Shiv (we know power can not exist without the power-house and power-house can not discharge any function without its latent power at work, such is the relationship of Shiv and Shakti).

Words of Narad Muni gave relief to every body’s tense mind and it became the talk of town in a matter of minutes as everybody was curiously watching the whole scene.

Now we have covered up to Doha 98 of Balkand , rest to be enjoyed in next, the original verse is given below:

तब नारद सबहि समुझावा। पूरुब कथाप्रसंगु सुनावा।।
मयना सत्य सुनहु मम बानी। जगदंबा तव सुता भवानी।।
अजा अनादि सक्ति अबिनासिनि। सदा संभु अरधंग निवासिनि।।
जग संभव पालन लय कारिनि। निज इच्छा लीला बपु धारिनि।।
जनमीं प्रथम दच्छ गृह जाई। नामु सती सुंदर तनु पाई।।
तहँहुँ सती संकरहि बिबाहीं। कथा प्रसिद्ध सकल जग माहीं।।
एक बार आवत सिव संगा। देखेउ रघुकुल कमल पतंगा।।
भयउ मोहु सिव कहा न कीन्हा। भ्रम बस बेषु सीय कर लीन्हा।।
छं0-सिय बेषु सती जो कीन्ह तेहि अपराध संकर परिहरीं।
हर बिरहँ जाइ बहोरि पितु कें जग्य जोगानल जरीं।।
अब जनमि तुम्हरे भवन निज पति लागि दारुन तपु किया।
अस जानि संसय तजहु गिरिजा सर्बदा संकर प्रिया।।
दो0-सुनि नारद के बचन तब सब कर मिटा बिषाद।
छन महुँ ब्यापेउ सकल पुर घर घर यह संबाद।।98।।
