सगुनहि अगुनहि नहिं कछु भेदा। गावहिं मुनि पुरान बुध बेदा।।
अगुन अरुप अलख अज जोई। भगत प्रेम बस सगुन सो होई।।
जो गुन रहित सगुन सोइ कैसें। जलु हिम उपल बिलग नहिं जैसें।।
जासु नाम भ्रम तिमिर पतंगा। तेहि किमि कहिअ बिमोह प्रसंगा।।
राम सच्चिदानंद दिनेसा। नहिं तहँ मोह निसा लवलेसा।।
सहज प्रकासरुप भगवाना। नहिं तहँ पुनि बिग्यान बिहाना।।
हरष बिषाद ग्यान अग्याना। जीव धर्म अहमिति अभिमाना।।
राम ब्रह्म ब्यापक जग जाना। परमानन्द परेस पुराना।।
दो0-पुरुष प्रसिद्ध प्रकास निधि प्रगट परावर नाथ।।
रघुकुलमनि मम स्वामि सोइ कहि सिवँ नायउ माथ।।116।

We covered Doha 116 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned how Lord Shiv propounded the principle of oneness of Shri Ram and the supreme reality that is unborn God and is like a permanent source of light to keep away the darkness born out of delusion etc..

Lord Shiv carries on explaining the matter to Parvati and says, “Those who haven’t got the right knowledge are not able to understand that what they know is not the reality, it only seems so. This results in remaining fixed in thought and looking at Prabhu Ram in wrong light (i e as just a one born in king’s family).

“It is like when looking from earth towards the sky at a time when the sky is overcast with clouds people say that sun has gone in to hiding whereas the sun remains on its path. It is also like seeing two moons in the sky when the fingers are placed between the eyes while looking.

“The blueish tinge of distant sky looks as if it is dust and smoke while it is just as pure as it should be. The gods and the Jivas who may be thinking themselves to be the enjoyers of sense objects through senses but their capacity to enjoy comes from Him only, mistakenly it is thought that the process of it all is independent (i e the reality alludes them).

“Only the one under whose light every thing is visible (i e He who appears in many forms in the world) that beginning-less Ram, the God almighty, is the lord of Ayodhya. World is object of illumination and Ram is illuminator (the world is His creation otherwise there would be only a void and He is the creator, none other than Him can create any thing if its not in His plan of things).

“He is the lord of Maya and He is the abode of modes of creation and is the instructor under whose auspices the Maya does whatever it does. Maya (His power of creation) is it self Jadd (without consciousness) but appears to be real due to being associated with Him who is the truth but all due to impact of ignorance (when the truth is known the Maya along with the world of matter is seen as unreal, non-existent)”

Lord Shiv confirms saying, “As a shell seems to be with traces of silver and as there seems to be water in desert due to reflection of sun (mirage) but both these phenomena are false at all times, in past,at present and in future, however, this kind of illusion happens, no body can deny this”.

We have now covered up to Doaha117 of Balkand.

निज भ्रम नहिं समुझहिं अग्यानी। प्रभु पर मोह धरहिं जड़ प्रानी।।
जथा गगन घन पटल निहारी। झाँपेउ मानु कहहिं कुबिचारी।।
चितव जो लोचन अंगुलि लाएँ। प्रगट जुगल ससि तेहि के भाएँ।।
उमा राम बिषइक अस मोहा। नभ तम धूम धूरि जिमि सोहा।।
बिषय करन सुर जीव समेता। सकल एक तें एक सचेता।।
सब कर परम प्रकासक जोई। राम अनादि अवधपति सोई।।
जगत प्रकास्य प्रकासक रामू। मायाधीस ग्यान गुन धामू।।
जासु सत्यता तें जड माया। भास सत्य इव मोह सहाया।।
दो0-रजत सीप महुँ मास जिमि जथा भानु कर बारि।
जदपि मृषा तिहुँ काल सोइ भ्रम न सकइ कोउ टारि।।117।।
