निज भ्रम नहिं समुझहिं अग्यानी। प्रभु पर मोह धरहिं जड़ प्रानी।।
जथा गगन घन पटल निहारी। झाँपेउ मानु कहहिं कुबिचारी।।
चितव जो लोचन अंगुलि लाएँ। प्रगट जुगल ससि तेहि के भाएँ।।
उमा राम बिषइक अस मोहा। नभ तम धूम धूरि जिमि सोहा।।
बिषय करन सुर जीव समेता। सकल एक तें एक सचेता।।
सब कर परम प्रकासक जोई। राम अनादि अवधपति सोई।।
जगत प्रकास्य प्रकासक रामू। मायाधीस ग्यान गुन धामू।।
जासु सत्यता तें जड माया। भास सत्य इव मोह सहाया।।
दो0-रजत सीप महुँ मास जिमि जथा भानु कर बारि।
जदपि मृषा तिहुँ काल सोइ भ्रम न सकइ कोउ टारि।।117।।

We covered Doha 117 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas and learned from Lord Shiv while He is addressing Uma that a confused state of mind is responsible when it is found not acceptable that Ram is the supreme God Himself who has taken form although He is otherwise known as formless (in Chapter Four of Gita Lord Krishna also has told that He comes in form of Avatars while still remaining in full control of His Prakruti, the host of phenomena that are responsible for birth and conduct of world, Maya also remains in subordination).

Lord Shiv speaks further remaining on the same subject, “The material world is unreal (for it has no base of its own) but is solely dependent on Lord Hari for its appearance and conduct and gives pain. This pain is not possible to be warded off without knowing the reality like it is only possible to come out fearful situation seen in a dream that some body is chopping head off unless one gets woken up (this example tells two things i e that the one can get awake himself or he may be woken up by some one, the true knowledge about God and the world can also come when from within when reflecting on self or may be given by a realized Guru when one is ready to receive it).

“The one whose grace lets the conditions so develop that the delusive state stays no more, is the same benevolent Lord of Raghus i e Ram (the possibility of waking up by self or through a Master are dependent on the Lord’s grace otherwise Jeev remains in stupor endlessly, even over innumerable births, how the grace of lord is obtained will be learned later in Ram katha).

“The Supreme God’s beginning or end are indeterminate i e He is unborn and ageless, the Nigams (Vedas) have been referring to this illusive totality of supreme God by various means but only by way of some assessment and estimation which the intellect can conceive of like speaking of Him as one who can walk without legs, can hear without ears, do many actions without a hand, can taste all kinds of Rasas (flavors) without having a mouth, can speak like an expert though devoid of speech, can touch and feel things without having a skin, can see without eyes and leaves no odor unsmelt though without a nose. This kind of non-worldly happenings are possible for Him, the extent of His capacities is beyond description (all the sense organs that living entities are provided with to carry on activities and enjoyment are not required by Him, such being the case it puts limits to the understanding of Him without a capacity to go beyond the intellect).”

Lord Shiv says further that,” Moot point is to know that Lord of Ayodhya, son of King Dashrath Sri Ram is that very entity who is thus referred by Vedas and the knowledgeable sages, it is Him only that Munis contemplate up on for purpose of meditating, He descends on earth for the sake of His Bhaktas)”.

(Lord Shiv has dealt with why and how of the connection or the oneness of Ram and supreme God indicatively and wider explanation through Ram Katha will come about. His main purpose it to convey to listener is to first be non-confused and repose faith in the word of Guru, just now in His words, then only the mind and heart will capture the essence of katha making the knowledge once own property not as borrowed wisdom.)

एहि बिधि जग हरि आश्रित रहई। जदपि असत्य देत दुख अहई।।
जौं सपनें सिर काटै कोई। बिनु जागें न दूरि दुख होई।।
जासु कृपाँ अस भ्रम मिटि जाई। गिरिजा सोइ कृपाल रघुराई।।
आदि अंत कोउ जासु न पावा। मति अनुमानि निगम अस गावा।।
बिनु पद चलइ सुनइ बिनु काना। कर बिनु करम करइ बिधि नाना।।
आनन रहित सकल रस भोगी। बिनु बानी बकता बड़ जोगी।।
तनु बिनु परस नयन बिनु देखा। ग्रहइ घ्रान बिनु बास असेषा।।
असि सब भाँति अलौकिक करनी। महिमा जासु जाइ नहिं बरनी।।
दो0-जेहि इमि गावहि बेद बुध जाहि धरहिं मुनि ध्यान।।
सोइ दसरथ सुत भगत हित कोसलपति भगवान।।118।।
