We covered up to Doha 184 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas by Tulsidas and learned that the earth and the gods have gone to meet Brahma to tell him about the excesses of Ravan who has expressed his own inability to help but said that the immortal God knows it all and will surely intervene (The God takes avatar in such conditions is what has been indicated by Brahmaji (the creator), he knew his limitations that he is responsible only for creation but rest goes as per the karmic dispensation which only God is capable to alter or interfere with.)

The gods and the rest set down to give a thought to the problem in light of what Brahmaji told them, they discussed where shall we meet the God, the real master, so that He is addressed. Some of them suggested that He could be contacted in Vaikuntth (Haven), some others said He lives in Ksheer-Sagar (the ocean of milk); in this way all had their own opinions about where Master may manifest in accordance with whatever way each one had his own heart devoted to the Lord Supreme.

Lord Shiv tells Parvati, “O Girija, I too was there in that assemblage of gods and others and spoke finding an opportune moment to tell them a word of my own that Lord Hari is present everywhere alike (i e He pervades everywhere and in all equally) and love for Him only can reveal Him; there is no direction or quarter where He hasn’t been there and neither that He hasn’t been present at any particular time or at a place ever. Though He is present in all creation yet He is beyond it all and is without any passion for it. He can be manifested by strength of love in the same way as the fire can be produced by friction (fire remains present in wood etc but does not light up unless friction is applied, so is God everywhere but can be seen through potency of love for him). All then heartily agreed to what I said and Brahma in particular endorsed it loudly saying that’s it, that’s it.

“When Brahmaji listened to my words, he became very emotional and his overwhelmed body showed signs like flow of tears from the eyes, recovering from that state Brahmaji regained an stable intellect and mind and started praying with folded hands.”

(Brahmaji immediately gave expression to the love He had for God Supreme, it was this kind of love that God can be seen and talked to. In our weaker moments when we too pray with heart full of love, the God seems to be with us instantly. The out-ward rituals are not so important, its love for Him that is more important to establish a connection with Him.)

We have now covered up to Doha 185 of Balkand.

बैठे सुर सब करहिं बिचारा। कहँ पाइअ प्रभु करिअ पुकारा।।
