We covered up to Doha 195 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that the sun-god is confused looking at atmosphere in Ayodhya which gives impression that its dusk there and has become static in the sky enjoying it all for as many as thirty normal days though not noticed by the people due to being in blissful state (the sun-god is particularly taking interest in the activities on streets of Ayodhya because the Supreme God has chosen to descend in Sun-Dynasty i e in his own line).

The mystery about the behavior of sun remained undiscovered and after enjoying fully the the bright spot on the horizon i e sun went about his way singing praises (of Shri Ram and of the celebrations that he watched and soaked in). The gods, the Munis and the Nagas also went back to their respective homes appreciating their own fate that allowed them to watch this great festive occasion.

Lord Shiv tells Parvati, “O’ Girija, let me tell you my own covert act, you may appreciate it because you have a a strong intellect (to decipher the reasons behind). Me and Kaakbhushindi (a sage who accepted form of a crow even but remained devoted to Lord Ram) took forms like that of ordinary human beings so that nobody comes to know of our reality and we, with ecstatic love and in total blissful state, roamed about the streets with delighted hearts and intoxicated minds (with love for Lord Ram). This very auspicious and benign Charita (of Shri Ram taking avatar as human) becomes known to only those who have special graces of Lord Ram directed towards themselves (otherwise the intellect will not allow acceptance of such happening bringing it in to question with various arguments and points of logic).”

King Dashrath distributed various kinds of clothes, elephants, horses, chariots, gold and diamonds liberally. This made all receivers very satisfied and they gave their blessings to all sons of King Dashrath to have long life (in India it is customary to satisfy all people on such occasions so that the blessings for the new-born automatically come out of hearts of people, the rich and mighty demonstrate that all are family by inviting all to participate and by gratifying everyone).

Tulsidas says the receiver of the blessings were none other than the Ishwaras (the Lords) of himself (in a way Tulsidas is confirming that he has had no problem in accepting them as the divine people, he fully accepts that Ram is none other than his most loved, the Supreme God only. This kind of positive attitude is a must for the a faithful listener of Ram Katha to draw full benefit out of it).

We have now covered up to Doha 196 of Balkand.
