We covered up to Doha 204 of Balaknd in Ramcharit Manas of Tuslidas and learned that Balcharit (childhood sportive activities) of Shri Ram amuse all and those who find it not interesting are like those who have been left deprived by the writer of fate (Brahma, the creator); He is the very source of knowledge. The brothers have become grown up boys and after their Yagnopabeet Samskaar (sacred thread ceremony) have studied all subjects under guidance of Guru and have become fit to discharge duties as princes and they are loved by all the citizen who find their personalities very attractive.
The brothers used to summon their friends and go in to the forests regularly for gaming but not indulge any indiscriminate killing of animals but selectively go after the holy animals as preys (to enhance their skills of hitting moving targets, they after all were to be ready for big fights for defense of society should the occasion arrive), besides, the animals who were killed could only be deserving and fortunate to leave their last breath graced with the Supreme God i e Shri Ram and be enjoying after-life in higher realms. They often used to return with the wild catches and show it to the king.
Shri Ram used to have his meals along with the younger brothers and playmates; He used to carry out instructions of the parents. Shri Ram was happy to do all that would be pleasing and beneficial for the citizens of Ayodhya and always used to follow a plan to succeed.
Shri Ram’s activities included learning of Vedas and Puranas with total concentration; He used to explain it all to the younger brothers discharging His duty as the eldest among them. Shri Ram used to observe the right practice of getting up in early morning and then bow down before and ask then for the day’s alloted duties from the parents and the Guru in connection with city’s administration. Such an observance of discipline by Shri Ram was particularly liked by the king.
Although the one who is omnipresent, indivisible, desireless, unborn (i e without any beginning), attributeless and without any name or form in reality did many astounding acts (as son of Dasgrath) simply for the sake of Bhaktas (as Dashrath, the devoted Bhakta, had wanted Him to be his son).
We have now covered up to Doha 205.

Now, Rishi Yagyavalkya told Muni Bhardwaj that I have sung (i e told in an interesting manner) before him and cautioned him to listen to it further absorbing it mentally. He told that there was a great sage known as Vishwamitra (he was a king and had renounced the kingdom for getting enlightenment, literal meaning of name is ‘friend of the world’) who was very knowledgeable and lived in the forests in an Ashram at a place that was considered to be sacred. In the forest, here and there, Munis used to do Japa, do Yagnas and practice Yoga (physical as Yogic Asanas (postures) as well as contemplation to achieve oneness with God); but they were very fearful of demons called Mareech and Subaahu because the demons used to rush to destroy the Yagnas whenever they saw Munis doing it to the displeasure of them all. This problem of the Munis and his own made Vishwamitra (son of Gadhi, a king) worrisome and he thought these sinning demons, the wanderers in the nights, would not be finished until Lord Hari intervenes.
(When we coolly give a thought to the problems, we are reminded of the God, when He is invoked the end of problems is seen, they stop troubling much and possibility of end of the problem appears but only with the necessary step required to be undertaken.)
At this stage Muni Vishwamitra gave a cool thought to it in his mind and remembered that Lord has taken avatar to relieve the world of the burden of the demonic forces experienced on earth. He thought the excesses of demons presents a good occasion for me to even go and look at the feet of Lord as well as to invite the two brothers (Ram and Lakshman) who are themselves abode of knowledge (i e Shri Ram) and dispassion (i e Lakshman) and are virtuous in every way. He thought it will render his eyes to look at the Lord as much as wanted.
(Prabhu Shri Ram is Gyanam (the knowledge) personified and Lakshman is considered to be absolutely bereft of desire hence an embodiment of Vairagya (the dispassion, both are such qualities that would make a person gather all kinds of virtues.)
Muni Vishwamitra set on course to see the Lord and had a surge of desires in his heart (of seeing the Lord and of the times when the problems faced by him and the fellow Munis will see its end) which made the time pass by fast and he reached the banks of river Sarayu where he first took bath and reached the court of the King Dashrath.
(The bath of Muni Vishwamitra in Sarayu signifies that before one approaches the Supreme Lord, he should be clean and pure, without anxiety and worry, plain and simple because if there is any trace of such things it will mean that there is lack of faith in the God.)
We have now covered up to Doha 206 of Balkand.
