कीन्ह प्रनामु चरन धरि माथा। दीन्हि असीस मुदित मुनिनाथा।।
बिप्रबृंद सब सादर बंदे। जानि भाग्य बड़ राउ अनंदे।।
कुसल प्रस्न कहि बारहिं बारा। बिस्वामित्र नृपहि बैठारा।।
तेहि अवसर आए दोउ भाई। गए रहे देखन फुलवाई।।
स्याम गौर मृदु बयस किसोरा। लोचन सुखद बिस्व चित चोरा।।
उठे सकल जब रघुपति आए। बिस्वामित्र निकट बैठाए।।
भए सब सुखी देखि दोउ भ्राता। बारि बिलोचन पुलकित गाता।।
मूरति मधुर मनोहर देखी। भयउ बिदेहु बिदेहु बिसेषी।।
दो0-प्रेम मगन मनु जानि नृपु करि बिबेकु धरि धीर।
बोलेउ मुनि पद नाइ सिरु गदगद गिरा गभीर।।215।।

We covered up to Doha 215 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas and learned that the two brothers (Shri Ram and Lakshaman) have appeared, before the King Janak and his people who were sitting with Muni Vishwamitra, after vising the garden of flowers around that place. They have stolen the hearts and minds of all those present and particularly of the king who has had difficulty in stabilizing his mood which was enjoying an unworldly love up on looking at Lord Ram but wants to speak to Muni Vishwamitra.

The King Janak after regaining his composure asked Muni Vishwamitra,”O Master, tell me about these two handsome boys, whether they happen to be descendants and crown-princes of a royal family or are high achievers in of family of Munis. Or in fact they are the God Himself who has taken form of these two boys, the same Supreme God which the Vedas find difficult to describe but indicate by telling ‘not this’ (i e denying Him to be only as any one or even all phenomena of the world while He is present in every thing but is also beyond the world of name and form). I have a naturally dispassionate mind yet it has become enraptured like what Chakore (a bird) becomes up on seeing moon in the sky (the king wonders why his well-trained mind which has acquired dispassion as second nature is attracted towards them). It is the reason that I am asking you with all the Sat-Bhave (the truthfulness). O Muni, just tell me without keeping any thing back. There is a surge of love in my heart just when I throw a glance at them and my mind is compelled to leave aside the contentment and blissfulness it enjoys in keeping itself fixed on contemplating up on the formless and the attributeless Supreme God (the reality of whom I have known).”

To this questing by the king, Muni Vishwamitra responded by smilingly saying,”O King, you have spoken well (the very substance of the Vedas), what you speak in in line with all the wisdom (spread out in the Vedas and Puranas, Muni acknowledges the realized state of Janak). These two brothers are dear to all the living beings (because the Atman in each of them is only a part of Him, it is Him only who impregnates the womb of Maya with His consciousness that results in life on earth).”

Lord Ram smiled within, listening to the transaction between Janak and Vishwamitra (smiled because they were talking what was right and factual; Lord Ram also became amused that both were trying to explain who He was through speech which is not possible at all to spell out in words who He is in totality as He happened to be beyond senses and intellect).

Muni Vishwamitra then finished by saying,” the two brothers are progeny of King Dashrath, they have been asked to accompany for my own sake (this statement of Muni tells the whole fact about Lord Ram but about His avatar as son of Dashrath; the Sagun Brahma is very much possible to be made subject of senses but is capable to give a pleasure equaling or even more than what Janak had been enjoying by fixing mind on his formlessness).

“The names are Ram and Lakshman, they are brothers; they have attraction (as can be seen) and also have strength and are cultured (which qualities are not yet manifested before the king but would be shortly). They won many a battles against the Asuras (the miscreants; the demons) and have let the Yagnas be performed in peace; all have seen it and can vouch for it (such is their strength and braveness, is what Muni telling the king; he wants to let the king have this background in mind. Muni knows it will be good for what is going to happen in time to come).”

We have now covered up to Doha 216 Balkand.

कहहु नाथ सुंदर दोउ बालक। मुनिकुल तिलक कि नृपकुल पालक।।
ब्रह्म जो निगम नेति कहि गावा। उभय बेष धरि की सोइ आवा।।
सहज बिरागरुप मनु मोरा। थकित होत जिमि चंद चकोरा।।
ताते प्रभु पूछउँ सतिभाऊ। कहहु नाथ जनि करहु दुराऊ।।
इन्हहि बिलोकत अति अनुरागा। बरबस ब्रह्मसुखहि मन त्यागा।।
कह मुनि बिहसि कहेहु नृप नीका। बचन तुम्हार न होइ अलीका।।
ए प्रिय सबहि जहाँ लगि प्रानी। मन मुसुकाहिं रामु सुनि बानी।।
रघुकुल मनि दसरथ के जाए। मम हित लागि नरेस पठाए।।
दो0-रामु लखनु दोउ बंधुबर रूप सील बल धाम।
मख राखेउ सबु साखि जगु जिते असुर संग्राम।।216।।
