कहहु सखी अस को तनुधारी। जो न मोह यह रूप निहारी।।
कोउ सप्रेम बोली मृदु बानी। जो मैं सुना सो सुनहु सयानी।।
ए दोऊ दसरथ के ढोटा। बाल मरालन्हि के कल जोटा।।
मुनि कौसिक मख के रखवारे। जिन्ह रन अजिर निसाचर मारे।।
स्याम गात कल कंज बिलोचन। जो मारीच सुभुज मदु मोचन।।
कौसल्या सुत सो सुख खानी। नामु रामु धनु सायक पानी।।
गौर किसोर बेषु बर काछें। कर सर चाप राम के पाछें।।
लछिमनु नामु राम लघु भ्राता। सुनु सखि तासु सुमित्रा माता।।
दो0-बिप्रकाजु करि बंधु दोउ मग मुनिबधू उधारि।
आए देखन चापमख सुनि हरषीं सब नारि।।221।।

We covered up to Doha 221 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that one enlightened young lady gave whole information to her friends about the two brothers (Ram and Lakshman) and the purpose of visit. She has in the process also revealed some aspects of Ram which refer to His being the Supreme God also i e His beauty and charm etc surpassing that of all the other gods known to her.

Of the young ladies an other one exclaimed after being struck by the aura and beauty of Shri Ram that He is the best and most suitable match for Janki (daughter of Janak i e Sita) as her husband (unknowingly she is revealing the fact that Sita as Maya, Sita as Lakshmi and Sita as creative energy can only have the God as her master, none other can ever have that status); she further tells her friends that if and when King Janak happens to meet Ram he will be compelled to forget his vow and marry her to Him.

Another one of the young ladies then told that King Janak has already known them (in a way she is confirming that Janak has had a feeling that Ram is the same all omniscient and omnipotent formless God) and he has given them due honor along with the Muni. She suspects that the king would not dilute his resolve and possibly fatefully he is going to only dumbly behaving (by not wanting to marry Sita to Ram without the process of selecting a bridegroom after he breaks the Dhanush, the bow, of lord Shiva).

Yet another of the friends there said that if the writer of fate or people, the creator himself is of benevolent and honest temperament and if he really grants every one all his due then Janki will definitely have Shri Ram as her husband, carry no doubt regarding this matter; if by providence this happens then every one of us will be rewarded for our good deeds ever performed. She further says that her anxiety and expectation is that if this relationship (between Sita and Shri Ram) is established they will be frequently coming here (and give us chance to have a glimpse of them).

The young lady then tells her friends,”O Friends, it is impossible for us have an opportunity to see and meet them (Ram and Lakshman) in any other way, this can only be occasioned otherwise when we have a large amount of good and righteous deeds performed by us.”

(Here she is in a way telling that to be able to have a glimpse of God, it is imperative that through righteous conduct for a long time and through practicing austerities and dispassion only the God is known and felt. But with the daughter of our king, Sita, getting married to Lord Shri Ram they would have it without making a bigger and long drawn efforts. They have Sita as Bhakti, so here the point is that when one is successful in devotional worship and gets established in thought with sense of love for Lord then it is not a precondition to have a rigorous and disciplined life of observing the prescribed duties given in scriptures. When there is love for God in heart it is automatic that sinful activities will be impossible to be undertaken and the purity of heart thus achieved would make the devotee have glimpse of God easily and know the reality which otherwise is so illusive.)

We have now covered up to Doha 222 in Balkand.

देखि राम छबि कोउ एक कहई। जोगु जानकिहि यह बरु अहई।।
जौ सखि इन्हहि देख नरनाहू। पन परिहरि हठि करइ बिबाहू।।
कोउ कह ए भूपति पहिचाने। मुनि समेत सादर सनमाने।।
सखि परंतु पनु राउ न तजई। बिधि बस हठि अबिबेकहि भजई।।
कोउ कह जौं भल अहइ बिधाता। सब कहँ सुनिअ उचित फलदाता।।
तौ जानकिहि मिलिहि बरु एहू। नाहिन आलि इहाँ संदेहू।।
जौ बिधि बस अस बनै सँजोगू। तौ कृतकृत्य होइ सब लोगू।।
सखि हमरें आरति अति तातें। कबहुँक ए आवहिं एहि नातें।।
दो0-नाहिं त हम कहुँ सुनहु सखि इन्ह कर दरसनु दूरि।
यह संघटु तब होइ जब पुन्य पुराकृत भूरि।।222।।
