We covered up to Doha 226 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that the two brothers (Ram and Lakshman) were instructed by Muni for offering evening prayers at the dusk time and all of them then did it. Muni then related old interesting stories to Ram and Lakshman till a few hours in to the night. Ram and Lakshman fisrt massaged feet of Muni and when Mini slept Lakshman took Ram feets on his chest and thus serving Ram he himself slept when Ram insisted but only to rise fisrt right before dawn; Ram then also got up before did the Guru. Only out of love Muni had for Ram that the Almighty Supreme Lord happily served and respected Muni (love and devotion oblige Ram greatly when He responds in appropriate ways Himself towards the Bhakta according to relationship maintained).

Ram and Lakshman after waking up attended to all necessary morning chores for purification and had bath; freed of all daily morning time routine they came to pay respects to Muni and bowed down before him. Knowing that it was time (for Muni to perform his Puja) both brothers took leave of Mini and went to pick flowers (for Mini to offer the same in Puja to Lord).

Ram and Lakshman then reached the nice garden of King Janak where spring time beauty of the garden was very attractive;there were many varieties of trees stealing the heart of onlookers, different types of creepers had formed shedded arches. The wish granting divine tree felt ashamed to find the wealth and richness of the garden due to its having fresh and loveable leaves, flowers and fruits that surpassed their own hoard of wealth and riches and their capacity to satiate the desires of the people. Various birds like Chataks, cuckoos, parrots and Chakoras warbled and peacpocks danced splendidly there.

In the centre of the garden was a beautiful pond which had steps wonderously decoarted with gem like stones; in its pure water many colored lotuses bloomed and were accompanied by cooing water birds and humming bees .

Beholding the garden and the lake Lord Shri Ram and brother Lakshman felt delighted and amused; it was a garden of unsurpassed and ultimate beauty and a charming place of comfort that it provided a sense of relief, pleasure and abundance even to Ram (the Lord of universes, who is source of all the blissful experienes and comforts).

(As is with humans that they get hooked and attracted to their own creations and works of art, the Lord of Universes also similarly enjoys beautiful menifestations of the nature, His own creative power. The impermanence of the world should not come in way of enjoying its beauty reflecting at certains times and in certain manner. Such moments are not be missed.)

We have now covered up to Doha 227 of Balkand.
