We covered up to Doha 240 in Balkand of Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that Muni Vishwamitra apperantly expressed anguish about as to who would possibly get to be honored in the scheme of Ishwara but when Lakshman reminded him that it would be a one who is favored by Muni himself, he smiled getting reminded of the blessings already given to them both that their heart felt desire will be fulfilled (the blessing of Guru and the God-realized people can’t be different than what is providentially going to happen). Muni Vishwamitra then once again blessed the princes and they all reahced the arena fixed for event. There the rush of people was already there after spread of the news of arrival of princes and all the people of the town desirous of having glimpse of Lord were seated according to social order taking care of ladies being seated in seperate enclusres earmrked for them, by the ministers of the king.

The appearence of the both princess at that time seemed as if the quality of attractiveness and charm had itself come there embodied. Both of them, one with beautiful darkish and the other with beautiful fair body, looked out-standing, brave, ocean of virtues and very civil & decent. Among the assembly of kings they seemed special ones like two full moons in the midst of stars.

Lord Ram was being looked up on by the rest of the kings and princes according to their own inner make up. To some (with Sattvic i e righteous temperament) He seemed to be as great warrior as if the heroic sentiment itself had taken body. The wicked ones (with Rajsik temperament) saw the Lord as a terrible person and felt fearful (they felt defeated themselves already). And those who had come there as princes but in fact were demons of the time (i e who had Tamasik temperament) saw the Lord as menifestation of death i e as Kaal.

(Yamraj, the deity of death is also known as Kaal literally meaning time which finishes all but time as a phenomenon is under control of Supreme God and becomes non-existent when so desired by Supreme God i e Shri Ram, so the demons haven’t wrongly seem Him as their death. Also, demons do not know reality and remain in body-consciousness but body-consciousness can not remain when God is in sight so they are feeling as if death has occured for them.)

The citizen of Janakpuri i e Videhpuri where body related ego remains sub-dued saw the two brothers as ornament of society and very attractive to eyes (which means that though they had no great interest in body related beauty but still felt that their beauty was attractive reflecting their divinity and timelessness).

The ladies saw Him according to their own interest in Him and with great pleasure (they saw Him as worthy of getting married to Sita, some of whom were elder to Sita and some who were friends of Sita) and ladies also saw Him as some one who has an absolutely unworldy form and as if the love related feelings had come before them taking a form.

We have now covered up to Doha 241 of Balkand.
