Ramcharit Charcha CCXXXVII

II Shree Guruvey Namah II

Jai Shri Ram,

II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram II
II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram II
II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram II

We covered up to Doha 245 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that looking at Ram most of the kings thought that only Ram would be able to beak the bow of Shiv and marry Sita; they also irrespective of breaking of bow, Sita would put the garland in around neck of Shri Ram (signifying her conscent for Ram only as husband). there were some other kings, arrogant and unwise, who thought otherwise and even contemplated excercising force to obtain Sita. The nobler kings who were Bhaktas of Lord Hari too smiled sarcastically at other kings’ attitude and concluded that the brave sons of Dashrath were unwinnable.

The nobler kings advised,”its pointless to brag without reason, the imaginery sweet-balls can’t satisfy hunger. Its better that you pay heed to what we say, our advice will secure for you ultimate benefit and its that you consider Sita as Jahadamba, the mother of all and Lord of Raghus Shri Ram as father of the universe. Its an occasion to take the divine aura of them to heart by looking at them attentively. Both the brothers who always remain present in heart of Lord Shiv (Ram as Supreme-God and Lakshman as dispassion) have divine virtes and give immense pleasure at all times whenever their beautiful form is imagined in heart.

“It foolish to run after mirage and lose life when there is an ocean of nectar (bliss) available nearby. if you all still fail to graspe the real meaning behind what we say then you may do as you please, we have however got the finest fruit that our birth (as humans) could have got us.”

Speaking thus the nobler kings had their hearts filled with love for Ram and Sita and began to appreciate their unworldly beauty and charm; the gods in sky also saw ram and Sita and the kings who had been totally immersed in love for them and started singing praises and showering flowers.

Considering it was time that Sita was called there (for beginning the process of Dhanush-Yagna in her presense), King Janak sent for her and a little while later the sober, wise, and beautiful friends of Sita honorably accompanied her on her way to the place prepared for them.

(The God is invisible, when He takes an avatar due to wishes of His Bhaktas He reamins not known and seen as God though remains present before eyes in form. Those with purer hearts ad righteous conduct do get attracted to Him and see Him as the Almighty Lord but similar experience is denied to those who have igoistic bent of mind and live for only themselves and have narrow vision.)

Bhavani Shankar ki Jai!
Prabhu Shri Ram Ki Jai!
Sant Samaaj ko Pranaam!
Goswami Tulsidas ki Jai!
