Ramcharit Charcha CCL

Ii Shree Guruvey Namah II

Jai Shri Ram,

II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai  Jai Ram II
II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram II
II Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram II

We covered up to Doha 257 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas and learned that wise friend of Sita’s mother comforted her. Sita on the other hand became very concerned and prayed all gods and godesses and found her some relief when she remembered Bhagwaan Shiv and Parvati and prayed them too asking them to make the heavy and formidable bow to be lighted for Ram. She then invoked Lord Ganesha to lighten it further and got immersed in thought of Ram with eyes filled with tears of love and bodily thrilled.

Sita’s beautiful eyes enjoyed Ram’s charming beauty fully but she mentally became agitated when she reflected up on Her father’s vow and thought,” Oh father you have aken this difficult vow without understanding the benefit or loss on account it (she thought there is hardly any benefit, father could have done without it, at least after he saw Ram in person); my father’s ministers are under awe of him and therefore could not give him a piece of good advice. This kind of unwarranted thing is happenning right in presence of the intelligent and enlightened people;
there is this bow which is harder than a stone on one side and on the other there is this dark complexioned young man of tender body (who is expected to lift and break it). O the creator, how then can I find solace and confidence, can one ever expect a flower leaf’s end pierce a diamond. Whole of this assembly of people have become dumb. I have only the bow of Shiv now to place my hopes on, may it shift its hardness and  stubbornness of his heart on the people and become light hearted by looking at Raghupati Shri Ram (who is having such a lovely personality and a tender body).”

Sita had so much agitation afflicting Her mind that minutes became like Yugas i e an equivalent of many time cycles for Her.

She shifting glance, now looking at Lord Shri Ram and now towards earth (as a child looks towards mother, Sita was born from earth while Janak was tilling a field) with Her two beautiful eyes and restlessness of Her eyes resembled like two cupid’s fishes playing in the round bowl of moon.

We have now covered up to Doha 258 of Balkand.
