Many kinds of things of best quality were offered to King Dashrath in his honor and he distributed it among his own people and to other needy people. Good and well appointed places according to suitability had been provided to stay. Sita too summoned Siddhis exercising Her divine powers and they were then given command to provide every kind of comfort and items of use that are availed in the city of gods and are unthinkable for the people on earth.

Every member of Barat of Shri Ram found all pleasures that are available to gods placed right at their own points of stay; no one could guess that the luxuries and comforts had been due to Bhagwati Sita’s grace and all thought that Janak had made such nice arrangements for them. Raghunayak Shri Ram however knew the fact but was very happy about it for it reflected the love of Sita for all of them. The two brothers, Ram and Lakshman became overwhelmed and it was difficult for them to contain the joy within their hearts when they learned of the arrival of their father King Dashrath. They were however reluctant to tell Guru Vishwamitra that they were having a great desire to meet father. Muni Vishwamitra noted their restraint and soberness and was happy and pleased to note the same (after all good behavior shown by disciples before the occasion to meet parents is what every Guru longs for). Muni Vishwamitra joyfully embraced the two brothers and his limbs became thrilled while the eyes became wet and he immediately moved towards where King Dashrath was staying; his march was like the thirsty running towards a pond.

When King Dashrath saw Muni Vishwamitra coming towards him along with his sons, he rose up and moved taking very measured steps, greatly joyed, towards the ocean of pleasure that was the presence of Muni and his sons for him.

King Dashrath lay straight before Muni Vishwamitra in reverence right when he came near him and put the dust of Muni’s feet up on his head many times, Muni Vishwamitra then held the king close to his heart making him stand up and blessed him as well as inquired of his welfare. Then it was turn of the two brothers to bow down at the feet of their father King Dashrath, the king saw them with utmost love in his heart which overflowed in his actions, he took the sons in close embrace and forgot his the pain of long separation with them; it was like a dead man’s body getting back spark of life. The sons then bowed their heads down at the feet of Vashishth Muni and the great Muni was pleased to bring them in embrace. The two brothers then honored the groups of Vipras who had come with King Dashrath from Ayodhya, the Vipras gave them blessings wishing for them fulfillment of their heartfelt desires.

Bharat and the younger brother Shatrughan were waiting for their turn to greet and offer respects to Shri Ram, the eldest brother among the four. Lakshman was watching this with interest and later he too met the two brothers Bharat and Shatrughan with his body thrilled with immense joy at seeing them after a long time.

Ram now took turns to meet the citizens, the other family members and the member of his clan, He met with the beggars, the ministers of the kingdom and his dear friends too. Ram, the very merciful Lord met everyone according to everyone’s status, ignored none and met in a very humble and polite way.
