We covered up to Doha 321 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that King Janak honored King Dashrath and respectfully seated him and then in a similar manner made all the other Baraties comfortable. The gods disguising themselves as learned Brahimins had also come there to have the pleasure of watching the marriage of Shri Ram taking place and without even recognizing them King Janak suitably worshiped them too and provided nice sitting places. Every one had become lost himself, how then could any body identify and know the others. Lord Shri Ram who is all knowledgeable could however know about the presence of gods and therefore worshiped them mentally and offered them seats too.

When Muni Vashishtth noted that the Muhurat time now approaching, he called Muni Satanand and told him to ask for Sita (to come there); Satanand immediately went to do the same and told Queen Sunayana who in turn became thrilled after listening to Kulguru’s message that the long awaited moment had arrived. She then summoned her smart friends, the ladies of Vipra households and elderly ladies of the family and performed rituals connected with the present stage of ceremonies while singing festive songs invoking grace of gods.

The honorable consorts of gods, who by nature were owning good disposition and were disguised as beautiful and graceful women of high families, had been present in the midst of groups of ladies in Sunayana’s palace and were given due honor by queen considering them no less than Uma, Rama and Brahmani without recognizing them who they rally were. There presence was also being enjoyed by all the ladies assembled there. Bubbling with joy, all of them helped Sita get ready and then surrounded her for being escorted towards the central pavilion.

Very well dressed up and with application of pious and auspicious stuffs, Sita’s friends took her along with care and concern towards the pavilion; all of them had treated themselves to sixteen way adornment and ornamentation, they had walk as graceful as that of an elephant in musth. They sang in very melodious voices, their sweet sound was able to stir the sentiments of even the Munis in their meditative stage. The cooing of cuckoos of the Kaamdev himself would not have had an impact like their singing was able to. Their anklets and the bangles were making a matching and complimentary music while they walked.

Sita in the midst of groups of ladies seemed outstandingly beautiful as she possessed natural good looks; it looked as being in the center of personified groups of grace as personified charm.

We have now covered up to Doha 322 of Balkand.
