We covered up to Doha 327 of Balkand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas and learned that Shri Ram as the bridegroom looked very very beautiful and charming, attired in bright yellow colored clothes He looked attractive, He had an immensely beautiful crown on His head and all His limbs were alluring and captivating (the Supreme God is limitlessly attractive to the discerning eye in all His departments and those who come to know Him also have glimpse of His extra-ordinary charm). In side the palace of queen Sunayana, various interesting rituals were performed which every one enjoyed to the maximum and all the four couples then proceeded towards the living quarters of King Dashrath; as soon as the Shri Ram and brothers along with their brides reached there they met King Dashrath spreading an atmosphere of auspiciousness and bemusement involving everyone there.

King Janak organized a grand feast and invited the members of marriage party. Exotic carpets were laid to be walked on and King Dasgrath along with his sons proceeded towards the banquet hall. All the Baraties had their feet washed there and then were offered suitable seats to squat on while having food (in Indian traditional way of sitting down for eating). King Janak made it a point to wash the feet of King Dashrath himself, his love for King Dashrath and dignified way of honoring him was unsurpassed. Janak washed feet of Shri Ram too, these are the very feet that remain embedded deeply inside the heart of Lord Shiv. Considering the other three brothers of Shri Ram as honorable as Shri Ram, King Janak washed their feet too with his own hands. Seating them properly, King Janak called the cooks themselves to serve them. The food was served with care on plates made of big leaves which were joined by golden thread and buttoned by jewels.

Boiled rice and Daal (lentil soup) was then served on which was poured pure butter-milk obtained from milk of cows of finest breed called Surabhi, the delicious food was prepared ensuring greatest of purity. The wise and expert cooks served all the guests in very little time for them to begin eating.

We have covered up to Doha 328 of Balkand.
