We covered up to Doha 108 of Ayodhya Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that when Shri Ram reached Ashram of Muni Bharadwaj, he was first offered fruits etc and after Shri Ram having rested Muni Bharadwaj expressed his happiness about having met Shri Ram and explained to all that Darshan of Shri Ram was the real benefit for which all kinds of religious observances are made and that he enjoyed the same benefit. Muni then wanted to be blessed to have permanent attachment at the feet of Shri Ram. Shri Ram also praised Muni in many ways and said that whoever is given respect by Muni Bharadawaj becomes virtuous. In the mean while all the ascetics living in the vicinity came rushing and felt very pleased to have met the young princes who stole their hearts too. Later Shri Ram had night’s rest at the Ashram and prepared to resume journey in the morning after bathing in the holy waters of Prayag.

Before leaving Shri Ram asked Muni Bharadwaj about the right way to follow after leaving the Ashram; Shri Muni intriguingly replied to Him saying with a smile, “All possible ways are easy for You (he meant that since Shri Ram was Himself the Supreme God, what could pose a problem to Him).” Muni then summoned his disciples to go along with Shri Ram as guides and hordes of them came running as all of them had immense love for Shri Ram and said that they had knowledge about the routes because they have been roaming around. However since all could not be sent along, Muni picked four from among them to go with Shri Ram as if these four had been doing noble deeds for many past births to have such a fortune.

Once again Shri Ram paid homage to Muni deferentially and asked for his leave before leaving with a joyful heart. Whenever Shri Ram passed through routes near a village or a town, people rushed to have His Darshan (as the word about the beauty and attraction of Him had already spread). These onlookers used to feel in Shri Ram’s company as if they now had someone before them who could protect them and also used to feel as having got the best reward for being born by having Shri Ram right in front of their eyes. But when it was time for them to return back and for Shri Ram to move ahead, they used to feel remorseful while their hearts pursued the travelers.

After covering some distance Shri Ram politely asked the disciples of Muni to go back and they returned with pleasure as their heart felt desire to be with Shri Ram had been fulfilled. Reaching the bank of Yamuna Shri Ram had bath in its blueish water which matched the complexion of His own.

We have now covered up to Doha 119 of Ayodhya Kand.
