आन उपाउ मोहि नहि सूझा। को जिय कै रघुबर बिनु बूझा।।
एकहिं आँक इहइ मन माहीं। प्रातकाल चलिहउँ प्रभु पाहीं।।
जद्यपि मैं अनभल अपराधी। भै मोहि कारन सकल उपाधी।।
तदपि सरन सनमुख मोहि देखी। छमि सब करिहहिं कृपा बिसेषी।।
सील सकुच सुठि सरल सुभाऊ। कृपा सनेह सदन रघुराऊ।।
अरिहुक अनभल कीन्ह न रामा। मैं सिसु सेवक जद्यपि बामा।।
तुम्ह पै पाँच मोर भल मानी। आयसु आसिष देहु सुबानी।।
जेहिं सुनि बिनय मोहि जनु जानी। आवहिं बहुरि रामु रजधानी।।
दो0-जद्यपि जनमु कुमातु तें मैं सठु सदा सदोस।
आपन जानि न त्यागिहहिं मोहि रघुबीर भरोस।।183।।

We covered up to Doha 183 of Ayodhya Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and learned that Bharat concluded by telling all that condition of his heart could only be known to Raghubar Shri Ram and that he sees no other suitable course of action left for him than to go and meet Shri Ram; he said that he felt sure of being condoned, for all his faults because Shri Ram is very considerate and of simple nature besides being very gracious and merciful, when he would come face to face with Him seeking to be kept in His own shelter. Bharat remarked that it might be that though he was born of a wrong mother and therefore must be having faults of his own yet Raghubeer Shri Ram knows him as His own therefore would not reject him or disown him.

भरत बचन सब कहँ प्रिय लागे। राम सनेह सुधाँ जनु पागे।।
लोग बियोग बिषम बिष दागे। मंत्र सबीज सुनत जनु जागे।।
मातु सचिव गुर पुर नर नारी। सकल सनेहँ बिकल भए भारी।।
भरतहि कहहि सराहि सराही। राम प्रेम मूरति तनु आही।।
तात भरत अस काहे न कहहू। प्रान समान राम प्रिय अहहू।।
जो पावँरु अपनी जड़ताई। तुम्हहि सुगाइ मातु कुटिलाई।।
सो सठु कोटिक पुरुष समेता। बसिहि कलप सत नरक निकेता।।
अहि अघ अवगुन नहि मनि गहई। हरइ गरल दुख दारिद दहई।।
दो0-अवसि चलिअ बन रामु जहँ भरत मंत्रु भल कीन्ह।
सोक सिंधु बूड़त सबहि तुम्ह अवलंबनु दीन्ह।।184।।

Every one liked and appreciated Bharat’s words that conveyed his feelings and his precious advice; they received it all like as if it was some divine preparation which had been dipped in Amrit (i e his words worked like death defying concoction, all had been feeling as if life had gone out of their bodies and here they saw an opportunity to become alive again while meeting Shri Ram). People had been almost unconscious after being pricked with deadly poison of separation from Shri Ram and here they were back to life fully awake like they had now heard a miracle mantra with its basic sound (known as Beej Mantra or seeded mantra) that had been empowered and charged with potential powers to make them awake.

The mothers, the ministers, the Guru and the members of public in general, all became overcharged with emotion of love therefore also got very disturbed. They began to speak with great appreciation and praise for Bharat that his whole body itself looked like the embodied love for Shri Ram and told him, “O Son, why wouldn’t you say so, after all you are dear to Shri Ram like one loves own life and so is Shri Ram to you (if Shri Ram is dear to you like life itself, you as Bhakta are no less dear to Him). Whoever out of his own ignorance and dumbness would think that you have been involved in the crooked and vile acts of your mother, that poor and foolish person will have to stay in hell for a hundred Kalpas (time cycles) along with his departed fore-fathers.

“You must be aware that Mani does not practice the sinning ways and wrong deeds of the serpent on whose head it remains placed, rather it removes the effect of poison, brings happiness and eliminates the poverty of the possessor (and you are like that only, you can’t have any of the faults of your mother Kaikeyi but would rather correct all wrongs done by her).

“Surely we will all come with you to go where is Shri Ram in the jungles now, O Bharat, your counsel is perfect and rewarding. You have provided the support to us all who were drowning in the ocean of grief (being separated from Shri Ram).”

We have now covered up to Doha 184 of Ayodhya Kand.

भा सब कें मन मोदु न थोरा। जनु घन धुनि सुनि चातक मोरा।।
चलत प्रात लखि निरनउ नीके। भरतु प्रानप्रिय भे सबही के।।
मुनिहि बंदि भरतहि सिरु नाई। चले सकल घर बिदा कराई।।
धन्य भरत जीवनु जग माहीं। सीलु सनेहु सराहत जाहीं।।
कहहि परसपर भा बड़ काजू। सकल चलै कर साजहिं साजू।।
जेहि राखहिं रहु घर रखवारी। सो जानइ जनु गरदनि मारी।।
कोउ कह रहन कहिअ नहिं काहू। को न चहइ जग जीवन लाहू।।
दो0-जरउ सो संपति सदन सुखु सुहद मातु पितु भाइ।
सनमुख होत जो राम पद करै न सहस सहाइ।।185।।

All were very very happy now in their hearts in the manner Chataks and peacocks become thrilled after listening to the sound of clouds over their heads. That Bharat will be leaving in the morning as per his sound resolved, made him most lovable to all. All bowed down before the Muni and also bowed their heads down before Bharat and took leave of both of them to go home (this signifies that at this point people gave greater respect to Bharat as Bhakta than to Muni in his role as an adviser and guide to the state of Ayodhya). All appreciated the way Bharat lived his life in this world and also praised his gracefulness and his loving self while going back; they told each other that it was a great breakthrough and that they all must now make all preparations for the journey to be undertaken next morning. Some of them who were asked to stay back home for purpose safety and vigilence, thought as if their neck was being chopped off; considering their plight, some others said it was not right to ask anybody to stay back as who in the world does not want to have the benefit of living (i e all remain in pursuit of happiness at times of their lives and here was a chance to have ultimate happiness, the best reward for living by meeting the Lord, after having tasted what it means to be away from Him).

An understanding dawned on them that such possessions and wealth, homes and comforts, even the near dear ones like mother, father or brother, might well perish if any of these things and people are not conducive or willingly helpful in ones efforts at getting to see and bow at the feet of the Lord Shri Ram (i e if any of the inanimate things or animate beings do not help in treading or put obstacles in the same path that Shri Ram has shown by demonstrating through His own acts and behavior while in human form as avatar then the same are best to be put aside or destroyed because that only will lead one to the desirable goal).
