We covered up to Doha 256 in Ayodhya Kand of Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas and learned that while Muni agreed to what Bharat said earlier but stressing over the point that for a one who is not agreeable to will of Shri Ram will not see any kind of success in his ventures and said that with some reluctance he had a proposition to offer and that was to sent Bharat and Shatrughan and let Lakshman, Sita an Shri Ram return. BHarat and Shatrughan readily displayed signs of  happiness and willingness to do like wise and became very thrilled as if the king, their father had come back to life and Shri Ram was crowned. This was agreed to the people too as the loss was little compared to the gain bt the queen mothers were upset still because they had a similar distressful outcome in both situations for them. Bharat then declared that there lies the benefit of a lifetime in doing what Muni proposed and that he was ready to live forest for his entire life and this meets his internal desire because Shri Ram is aware of what goes on in everyone’s heart and the Muni also knew all there is know hence he should give practicle shape to what he said.

Bharat’s words and the extent of his affection for Shri Ram made the whole assembly of people and Muni Vashishttha in particular lose sense of their bodies and get transported in to another realm of sensibility. Here at the edge of the large ocean of glory of Bharat, the intellectual strength of Muni stood like an helpless women who wishes to cross over but is not finding any means like a boat, ship or a raft. What more can be told with respect to Bharat greatness, how can hollow of shell (of words) contain a whole ocean (of Bharat’s glory). Bharat had become dear to heart of Muni’s heart itself and Muni along with the people came to Shri Ram (with concern for the wish of Bharat). Shri Ram did Pranam to Muni first and then offered proper seat to Muni and to others and all settled down there getting permission from Muni.

There the great Muni spoke very thoughtfully keeping in mind the sanctity of place, the demand of time and the delicacy of the occasion and said, “O Ram, you know every thing (i e omniscient as the Lord of Universe) and reasonable and rational; you are very virtuous, thoroughly learned and have sense of policy that ensures establishment of Dharma.

“Besides, you dwell in hearts of people hence are well aware of the quality of their thought and therefore keeping in the mind the welfare of the people of Ayodhya, of the mothers and also of Bharat (who are emotionally impacted because of separation from you), you may well suggest some way so that they may be satisfied.”

(Muni in a way acknowledged his own weakness and wished to rely solely on Shri Ram, the Supreme Lord, for relief in this complicated situation. Those who feel distressed up on being separated from Lord can only be helped by the Lord Himself and none other and no one else can device means to unite them with Lord, the grace of the Lord is finally the helpful remedy and the Guru may only plead before the Lord on the others’ behalf.)

We have now covered up to Doha 257 of Ayodhya Kand.
