We covered up to Doha 10 of Aranya Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and this is further to it.

Shri Ram sent Bali to His own abode grating him his last wish; the people of Kishkindha, disturbed on account of loss of their ruler and king, rushed there. Tara, wife of slain king Bali, began to lament and wail in many ways; she was now unable to balance her body and her became disheveled. Raghuraj Shri Ram noted that Tara was in great pain and agony for the loss of her husband and helped her by stopping the Mayic influence from disturbing her and by imparting her basic knowledge about what in fact was life and death. Lord said, “This worthless body is made of five elements i e earth, water, fire, ether and air and that body is apparently lying right before your eyes and the soul is in any case indestructible and eternal, why then should you cry.”

The logic presented by the Lord appealed to her (as it should appeal to every body who is ready to absorb this ultimate knowledge) and she fell at feet of the Lord. Tara then asked for boon of never diminishing Bhakti from the Lord.

Lord Shiva at this stage told Parvati, “O Uma, Ram, the Lord, makes every one dance like puppets dance by movement of string.”

Later Shri Ram ordered Sugreev to arrange for last rites for the departed soul and it was performed in accordance with the established practices. Then Shri Ram gave detailed advice to Lakshman to enthrone Sugreev. All then bowed down at the feet of Raghupati Shri Ram and taking cue from Him left for accomplishing what He had asked for.

As soon as Lakshman reached palace, he sent out invitations to the citizens and the Vipras and in their presence anointed Sugreev as the king and declared Angad to be the Crown Prince.

We have now covered up to Doha 11 of Kishkindha Kand.
