Lord Shiva, while narrating story of Ram for benefit Bhawati Parvati, told, “Uma, there is none who thinks and does all that is for the welfare of one and all like Shri Ram does; even Guru for disciple, father and mother for son, brother for brother or master for subordinate can’t do it as much as Him, no one for the other in the entire world can do so.

“The gods, the ordinary people and even the Munis, basically have some kind of their own interest when extend love for other. Sugreev ran here and there in fear of brother Bali in a distressful state, whose body was hurt and whose heart and mind suffered due to worries, such a one was made king of moneys by Shri Ram (i e helped someone who was, in any way, competent to help another). There is no doubt that Shri Ram, the brave one among Raghus has very gracious and kind nature.

“After knowing Shri Ram to be such a kind master if someone would still avoid Him, why then he will not fall in calamitous cow-web as a prey.”

Lord Shri Ram, after the ceremony, called Sugreev and gave him rich advice regarding the matters of state and policies to be followed by kings. Shri Ram refused invitation of Sugreev to visit Kishkindha saying that He had been forbidden to visit towns for a period of fourteen years (this suggests that vows should never be broken).

Shri Ram further told Sugreev, “now the summer season is over and rainy season has set in, I would therefore stay on the a hill which is not far (Lord wished to assure Sugreev that he should not fear any more as he had a fearful nature. This also tells us that venturing out even for an essential cause in four months of rainy season should be avoided, when conditions are right only, the expeditions should be undertaken. Safety and success both need this kind of attitude and not foolhardiness).

“Till then you and Angad together carry out what is needed as responsible ruler and should constantly be mindful of what you have to do for me (the Lord meant to say that while He doesn’t wan’t anyone to be neglectful of his duties as per assumed role but should also constantly keep in mind  where, when and what needs to be done for the sake of the Lord).”

Sugreev then returned to his palace, Shri Ram put up at Prabarshan Hill (the hill in the region that had substantial rain); over this the gods had already prepared a neat cave there as they knew that Shri Ram who is ever merciful, would come to stay here for some days (while progressing to accomplish the gods’ own task).

We have now covered up to Doha 12 of Kishkindha Kand.
