We covered up to Doha 12 of Kishkindha Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and this is further to it.

The beautiful forest now inhabited by Shri Ram looked very charming and decorated as it abounded in fresh flowers; the honeybees made humming noise all around expressing their greed for collecting honey. Since Lord Shri Ram set foot here, the roots, the stems, the fruits and the leaves all became interestingly tasty and showed substantial growth. It was on account of the heart stealing beauty of the exclusive hillock that Shri Ram, the lord of gods, decided to stay thereon along with younger brother Lakshman. The gods assuming forms of bees, birds and animals began to serve the Lord as well as the Munis and other accomplished seekers.Right since the Lord of Rama i e Lakshmi, Shri Ram, decided to make this region His home, it became the spot for all kinds of benefits, material as well as spiritual.

Once both brothers set comfortably on a clean white luminous rock; Shri Ram made it an occasion to relate to younger brother many Kathas (the stories that have good message to deliver) covering the topics related to Bhakti, Dispassion, state-craft and discrete wisdom. A little while later the skies were overcast as is wont in rainy season; thundering clouds appealed to the hearts of the two brothers and Shri Ram instantly spoke, “Lakshman, just see the peacocks are dancing after seeing the clouds in the sky, as does a householder who has some interest in dispassion by displaying his joy whenever he comes across a devotee of Lord Vishnu (Vishnu, the Lord of Lakshmi, induces dispassion while Lakshmi, the goddess of riches, is a deity whom a householder worships).”

we have now covered up to Doha 13 of Kishkindha Kand.
