We covered up to Doha 16 of Kishkindha Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and this is further to it.

Shri Ram continued imparting knowledge about some good principles drawing analogy with the season post rains to Lakshman, “The fishes, apart from those which feel restless due to drying up water in the ponds, which happen to be in deep and vast water bodies are happy and comfortable even after the rains are over like those who happen to take shelter under feet of the Lord Hari do not have to face any kind of discomfort or discomfiture ever in life as Lord Hari’s graces are endless and ever bestowed on those who have totally surrendered at His feet.

“With blooming lotus flowers in the pond look as charming as the absolute and invisible Brahman looks charming in form of an avatar.

“The buzzing of bees and the chatter of beautiful birds of many types, mixed together, is divine to listen; at this time Chakravak bird becomes sad upon fall of night in same way as a vile person feels upset looking at the riches possessed by others.

“Chatak bird continuously cries for water remaining excessively thirsty as does someone opposed to Lord Shankar, the Lord of faith (those who have don’t faith have no patience, no hope and have to cry continuously rather than waiting silently).

“The heat of days is stolen by moon in the nights in autumn season like sight of a saint is able to steal sins of those visiting him (as they are able to set them on right course and end agony of directionlessness).

“The group of Chakor birds are looking devotedly with concentration at their darling moon in the same way as the the servants and seekers of the Lord Hari look at Him when they have glimpses of Him.

“The mosquitoes and other biting insects parish with arrival of Sharad Ritu (the autumn) unable to face cold as the whole family of those meets its end who act to displease the Brahmanas and scheme against them.

“The creatures that remain hidden under the earth also have disappeared due to absence of flooding water as soon as autumn arrives in the same way as by availing company of Sadguru (the spiritual guide and master) the doubts and confusion are removed automatically.”

We have now covered up to Doha 17 of Kishkindha Kand.
