Sugreev began to give detailed instructions to his trusted lieutenants by saying, “O Neel, Angad, and Hanuman listen and Jamvant, you may listen too, though I know you have profound intellect and are rich in experience and knowledge. All of you are great warriors but you may go together in the direction of south (as Sugreev had seen Ravan go in that direction carrying Sita by force). You may keep inquiring about Sita from all you meet all through your way. Keeping all your faculties intact, act out what course you decide with concentration and conversing rightly; do this to accomplish the task that Shri Ramchandra wants done.
“You might be aware that sun should be enjoyed with back turned towards it but fire has be to be enjoyed while facing it (i e it needs a different approach in different situations and with different types of people you confront) but when its question of serving the Lord and the Master, there is only one approach which is to serve him with all your might and capacity and also without any trace of deceit, not in phony ways.
“The transgression in to the other world, the world of the Lord, is possible only when the Mayic influence is stopped from influencing self; only in this manner the afflictions and resulting pain, arising out of this temporal world can be avoided. The only real purpose of our having bodies is to serve and please Ram, the Lord, shunning all our mundane interests and cheap desires.
“Only he can be called to be virtuous and fortunate who has affection for the feet of Shri Ram and is totally devoted.”
This speech of Sugreev prompted them to now go. They took Sugreev’s permission and bowed down before him and left. They were now happy and cherished fond memories of Raghuraj Shri Ram while on their way.

Hanuman, the son of Wind-god, was the last one to to pay respects to Sugreev and at that very point in time the Lord called him as He wished to entrust him with extra responsibility. Shri Ram first touched the head of Hanuman with His lotus hand when Hanuman came and handed him a ring acknowledging him to be a servant and devotee. Shri Ram also told Hanuman, “When you happen to meet Sita (Shri Ram was sure that Hanuman had every trait that will make him reach Sita- the incarnate Bhakti), you must console her and convince her, that she will be freed, in all possible ways. You must also show her how mighty you are and assure her about my might too (as Hanuman had witnessed Shri Ram kill Bali, a very strong person so could tell it with confidence) and you must also tell how much separation from her has affected me. Immediately after you meeting with Sita you must come back.”
With this special treatment received from Shri Ram, Hanuman felt that his birth on earth had born fruit (i e the opportunity of serving the Lord, the sole purpose of life, was now in hand). Hanuman , keeping the image of merciful Lord in heart, also promptly left. Although the Lord knew about where was Sita and all that was to happen but the savior of the gods observed all finesse that diplomacy and secrecy demanded (i e something can remain a secret only when just two know of it not more, every ones’ business becomes business of none).
All the members of this team of capable people progressed through the forest region, searching for Sita along side the rivers or near the ponds and in the mountain caves too. They had now become totally lost trying to accomplish what Ram, the Lord, wanted and the stress and fatigue suffered by their bodies did not prick them (when one is on path to please the Lord, the body becomes stronger and resilient too).
We have now covered up to Doha 23 of KIshkindha Kand.
