Jamvant and rest kept telling Kathas of the Lord in many different ways which were overheard by Sampati (elder brother of Jatau) who was resting in one of the caves nearby. Curious to know who were telling these stories, he came out of the cave and saw many monkeys assembled there. He saw them as his food which  Jagdish (the Lord, master of the world) might have provisioned for him. He exclaimed happily, “i will devour them all, it has been long since I last ate and i was going to die without food. I never could get enough to eat which would fill my stomach in regular course but today Brahma, the creator, has given enough to compensate for earlier times.”

(The monkeys had become weak and therefore could not run away and were fit preys for the vulture hence it was thinking aloud.)

When the words of the big vulture fell in the ears of monkeys, they were alarmed and dreaded much. They thought if not earlier and otherwise, now they surely have to die. All of them rose up seeing the vulture right in front and Jamvant became all the more worried. Angad also weighed option in mind and had an idea. He loudly said, “None is as blessed and as fortunate as Jatayu who left his body while engaged in service of Shri Ram, the Lord, remaining committed to His cause till his end. Being extremely lucky he went to live in the abode of Lord Hari after his death.”

The utterance of Angad instilled in the big bird feelings of both kinds, pleasant and sad, at the same time (he was sad that his brother had died and was happy to learn of his having gone to the abode of Lord Hari). Sampati then came closer to the monkeys who felt fearful on that account but vulture announced that they need not fear anymore and asked them for the whole story concerning Jatayu. The monkeys then related all that had happened involving Jatayu. Sampati appreciated what his brother Jatayu had accomplished and he himself sung glories of Raghupati Shri Ram covering many different aspects.

He then asked help of monkeys, saying, “I want to give Tilanjali (the last rite performed by offering by hand sesame seeds and water to the departed soul) to my late brother hence please take me to the seashore. I promise to help you in a way that you will find what you are looking for.”

(The Kathas of Shri Ram attracted blessing of the Lord and it turned the foe in to friend for the monkeys.)

We have now covered up to Doha 27 of Kishkindha Kand.
