Lankini later told Hanuman,” You may now enter the city and carry out all that you have come to accomplish while keeping the image of the Shri Ram, the King of Kaushala, in your heart.”

Kakbhushundi said to Garuda, “Whoever is looked up on with kind glance by Ram, the Lord, poison turns in to nectar for him, the enemy comes forward to become his friend, the ocean remains no bigger than the foot impression of cow, the fire becomes cool for him, O Garud, the big mountain Sumeru also becomes like a grain of sand for him (we must note that all of this either has happened already for Hanuman or is going to happen).”

Coming back to a very small form, Hanuman entered Lanka while remembering the Lord. He went in from house to house and explored, what he found was that innumerable fight ready soldiers were placed all over. Finally he entered the palace of the ten-headed Ravan, it was very different and hard to describe in terms of opulence and construction. The monkey lastly saw Ravan sleeping soundly but in the entire house Vaidehi Sita was not to be seen. Coming out of Ravan’s palace he saw an attractive living quarter where a Mandir of Lord Hari was separately maintained.

This house was decorated with the weapons and insignia related to Ram, the Lord and its  charming beauty was beyond description. Finding many tender plants of Tulsi carefully planted there, the great monkey felt very upbeat and pleased (since this could not have been done to misguide him as his coming to Lanka could not have been long known to any body).

We have now covered up to Doha 5 of Sundar Kand.
