Hanuman then handed Shri Ram the crest jewel saying that this was given by none other than Sita; Raghupati Shri Ram promptly grabbed it and touched his heart with it. Hanuman gave further account to Shri Ram, of what transpired between him and Sita, “O Lord, the daughter of King Janak has uttered some words to be conveyed to You with her both eyes oozing tears, she told also that I first grab feet of You, the Lord and also of your younger brother, both of whom are friends of the meek and the troubled and are capable of stealing the woes of those seek their shelter. She has wished to convey thus on her behalf,’I am devoted to Your feet in all manner of thoughts, deeds and words, for what fault of mine have You, My Lord, have disowned me leaving me alone. I concede to be wrong on one count i e my life-breath hasn’t yet left my body in spite of being separated from You, but Lord, it is more to do with my eyes which have strongly come in way of life leaving body. In fact my body itself is like cotton while separation from You is fire; with the help of blow of air of my breathing it could have burned body in matter of seconds but my eyes for their own greed (to see You back again) continuous rain water coming in way of fire of separation from burning down my body.’ So, O Deendayal (the benevolent one to the poor in resource), the trouble and distress of Sita is very intense and immense, it is best not to speak of it.”
Hanuman lastly added, “Every moment passes like a Kalpa (a long unit of age) for her, O Karunanidhi (abundantly merciful one); kindly rescue her by leaving from here instantly and defeating the evil and immoral forces with the might of Your own arms, O Lord.”
(Prayer made to the Lord is a sure means of getting His blessings and of getting even direct help from Him. It may be by self or by others for someone.)
