तब लगि हृदयँ बसत खल नाना। लोभ मोह मच्छर मद माना।।
जब लगि उर न बसत रघुनाथा। धरें चाप सायक कटि भाथा।।
ममता तरुन तमी अँधिआरी। राग द्वेष उलूक सुखकारी।।
तब लगि बसति जीव मन माहीं। जब लगि प्रभु प्रताप रबि नाहीं।।
अब मैं कुसल मिटे भय भारे। देखि राम पद कमल तुम्हारे।।
तुम्ह कृपाल जा पर अनुकूला। ताहि न ब्याप त्रिबिध भव सूला।।
मैं निसिचर अति अधम सुभाऊ। सुभ आचरनु कीन्ह नहिं काऊ।।
जासु रूप मुनि ध्यान न आवा। तेहिं प्रभु हरषि हृदयँ मोहि लावा।।
दो0–अहोभाग्य मम अमित अति राम कृपा सुख पुंज।
देखेउँ नयन बिरंचि सिब सेब्य जुगल पद कंज।।47।।

We covered up to Doha 47 of Sundar Kand in Ramcharit Manas of Tulsidas in the last post and this is further to it.

Vibhishan continued to pour out his feeling before the Lord (which also suggests that he was a thorough thinker and had learned from right sources), “O Raghunath Shri Ram, the villainous group known as Lobha (greed), Moha (misplaced interest), Matsar (jealousy and grudge), Mada (arrogance and overbearance), and Mana (false pride) can stay in ones’ heart only till You don’t remain there, duly equipped with Your arrows, bow and the quiver tied to Your waist (i e in readiness to kill the villainous tendencies mentioned earlier).

“The ownership in form of mine-ness is that profoundly dark night which makes for the delight of owls like Raga (attachment) and Dwesha (aversion) and they can make devotee’s heart their home only till the time the sun of Your glories and virtues does shine in his heart, O Lord.

“I am now perfectly safe and all my fears have gone, after I have had occasion to observe Your lotus feet, O Shri Ram. You are that gracious Lord who by His favors and kindness obliges a sufferer making him escape the three pronged heat generated on account of worldly living.

“I would admit to being a demon with very vile character who never ever could practice righteous behavior or maintain a benefic living style (Vinhishan did not transfer blame on conditions and pressures). Now the same Lord who eludes to oblige the Munis by His appearance in their meditative state, has brought me close to heart with pleasure and willingness.

“What better fate can I expect, it is the maximum, and Ram, You are very committed in extending Your kindness and are in fact concentration of the divine pleasures; haven’t i had the opportunity to look at Your lotus like two feet which are served by none other than Brahma (the creator) and Shiv (the principal among gods).

We have now covered up to Doha 47 of Sundar Kand.
